We build machinery for the future

Our contribution to sustainable development

Both our innovative range of products, and our own actions are geared towards a better and greener future. With this objective in mind, we are working for tomorrow today.

Sustainability is hardwired into our DNA per se. With our plant and machines, we are helping to make the world a little greener, the air a little cleaner, and waste dumps a little smaller.

This is our contribution to a sustainable tomorrow already now. And we are working towards making this contribution grow every day. To achieve this, we are always developing new air technology products and optimize existing technologies. We never settle for what we have achieved so far but are rather looking for new opportunities all the time. With our products, we assist a wide variety of companies, cities and municipalities located almost all over the world in processing and treating both waste material and contaminated air. We help to avoid waste, and create optimum conditions for people, processes, and machines.

Making a difference with innovative air technology

Air technology offers a vast potential and many opportunities with regard to promoting sustainable development. Considering the earth's growing population, the problem of waste constitutes a most notable and fundamental issue. The figures published in the Global Waste Index show the correlation between the volume of waste generated and the recycling rates in various countries.

With our air classifiers, we provide an option to avoid waste and rather generate valuable secondary raw materials. This technology can be employed almost everywhere, and its mode of design and operation also make it a good starting point and a suitable basis for setting up a functioning waste management system.

Our claim to provide "Air to Breathe" shows our commitment to this precious commodity which, unfortunately, cannot be taken for granted. Dust extraction and activated carbon filtration in waste separation and industrial production processes enable us to provide relief to and create better conditions for local residents and employees. The latter or, correspondingly, their protection are an essential element in our supply and exhaust air systems.

Our own sustainable endeavours

Beyond our technologies and their constant further development, we also take a look at ourselves and at our own actions. An essential point is to minimise our energy consumption. The solar plant installed on the roof of our workshop hall in Altenburg, Germany is supplying environmentally friendly electricity which covers about 60% of our annual consumption.

The replacement of lighting systems and compressed air equipment as a result of comprehensive energy consulting are other examples of how Schulz & Berger take sustainable action themselves.

It goes without saying that we are also committed to meeting our social and economic responsibilities. We are providing support to a variety of non-profit projects and initiatives at our location and, as one of the largest employers in the region, we stand for reliability, a prudent capital expenditure policy, and future viability.
