A key element of air technology is to move air in a targeted and controlled fashion. This is done by using our air piping which is just as varied and individual as the fields of application covered by S&B's air technology equipment. The principle underlying planning and design, material selection and installation is to convey air in defined quantities and as efficiently as possible from point A to B, while guaranteeing maximum durability. This is ensured, among other things, by the use of highly qualified welding specialists and permanent quality control.
Air piping functions
Rotting technology
S&B air piping is used as part of the rotting technology in plants for the biological fermentation of organic waste. The production of compost places increased demands on pipework construction, especially on the materials used. You can also rely on our quality promise in this area of application.

Pipeline construction for your project – an all-round success with S&B
As a leading expert in air technology equipment, we can offer you tailor-made pipeline construction work ready to meet your demands. Our long-standing experience in the field of complex industrial plants and precise and customized planning and design are the basis for your successful project.
Our pipeline systems will be manufactured and installed in the proper quality and on schedule, covering all usual nominal diameters as well as oversize formats and even thick-walled pipes.
Aluminium material
Lightweight but tough
Aluminium (AlMg3) is a material resistant to seawater and provides a true alternative as compared to stainless steel in air pipeline construction. Its low weight offers design-related advantages and creates opportunities for savings in the supporting structure. But this material is also resistant enough to serve its purpose on a long-lasting basis in fermentation and biogas plants, for example.
Aluminium will remain deposit-free and permanently corrosion resistant. An additional synthetic coating, which we apply in a specific procedure, allows to increase the resistance of aluminium elements to especially aggressive fluids even further. Our specialist welders in particular are well trained in how to work with aluminium which allows us to rely on this alternative material in more and more projects.
